Jane at GardeningWitch Designs

What’s in a name?

Why “GardeningWitch”? I am a keen amateur gardener living in a small Bedfordshire village in the UK. Hence the “Gardening” part of my business name. I also like crafts such as knitting, spinning, sewing, willow weaving and making things in general, for which I am sometimes (lovingly) called a “Cacky-fingered Old Witch”. Hence the “Witch” part of my business name.

What do I do?

I make stylish and practical accessories and tools for the yarn crafter, including project bags, hook and needle storage solutions, stitch markers, and shawl pins. I sell my products in my ETSY shop, and I also sell in person at selected events.

I teach a variety of knitting and spinning workshops.

I have knitting patterns available on Payhip or in my Ravelry store (Link here, but please be aware of unresolved accessibility issues with Ravelry).

I am also a qualified tech editor for knitting and crochet patterns. Please contact me if you would  be interested in working with me.

When I am at an event I also sell lovely ceramic yarnbowls, handmade by a good friend, who is a talented potter. His yarnbowls have been sold at craft fairs and local knitting shops. Take a look at Chris Greening Pottery to find out more.
